Royal Doulton's Bunnykins Nurseryware is one of the world's oldest and most adored ranges of children's nurseryware. It began in 1934, when Sister Mary Barbara (Barbara Vernon) imagined and illustrated the exploits of the Bunnykins family to entertain the children in her class. Her father, Cuthbert Bailey, the manager of Royal Doulton's Burslem pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, adapted her sketches for the lithographic printing process onto children's dinnerware. More than seventy years later, Bunnykins is still going strong around the world.
